I usually havent had too many bad mondays. The bad days are usually Tuesdays, but today was an exception. Right from the start, getting caught in a traffic jam because I tried to avoid one before just wasnt a good way to start the day. Then after 1.5hrs of snail-paced driving, I get into office just to realize that I lleft something really imp at home. The kind of thing which you put iin a position that you think is *SO OBVIOUS* that you just *CANNOT* miss. Now thats a misconception. I actually took the thing, placed it aside without even the bat of an eyelid cos I was thinking about something else. Sucks. Then the rest of the day started with a bunch of new users switching to FC4. Why install when you can clone? So at the EOD, half the Dollys have been setup. The rest tomorrow. Im pooped..

Another yr just went bye-bye a couple of days back (references: here and here). And my friends really wanted to suprise me with a party which turned out pretty good in the end. The party, not the surprise! ;-) However, I was lucky enuff to have a good time with all the people I wanted with me. Well... almost. There were a few missing, but that can be attributed to circumstance. And the person who thought up that game of 24 questions needs to be kicked. I loved my cakes. All 3 of them. ;-) Plus the great custom-made cards which geetanjali and Neha gave me AND of course, the gifts courtesy of ramakrishna and the rest of the gang. What did I get? Yummy cakes fed to me by beautiful women, a statue of The Laughing Buddha, a cup of coffee...er a coffee mug for Virgos, a cellfone holder which has an extra feature which even the buyer wasnt aware of ;-) and a DVD-video of Metallica: S&M. Plus a great time! :-D I want everyone to know how much I appreciate them. Muchas Gracias, amigos!

Independence Weekend: Day 4 (Sunday)

Sunday was mostly a repeat of Saturday. Got up way too early... AGAIN! The Cochin Couple checked out of the hotel and I gave em directions to our haven. As usual, they got lost and went around in circles in front of our house. Todays itinerary included National Market and Comm. Street again. Shopping for gifts. Sally wanted to get her hair highlighted/coloured. Went to Images in Safina Plaza and tipped the girls extra to keep her in there for as long as possible. While we guys went strolling around. :-D The plan backfired though. What they said would take 1.5hrs ended up taking 3hrs. And her hair doesnt even reach her shoulders. Well, she was turned into a L'Oreal Copper Blonde which was worth 500 smackeroos.

Lunch at Casa Piccola, Cunningham Rd. was good, even at 4pm. They then dropped me n shankerbalan at Planet M., Brigade Rd. on their way back to Cochin. We killed time waiting for the next friend (Shanu's) from Cochin to show. Got wet in the rain on the way to the car and got home in one piece. The evening was spent listening to music and sipping down a bottle of Red Label. Scotch is NOT my drink. Sigh. Glug! Glug! Blech!
